#762x B.Englund -  In his own words about the race.

Finisher!!!
I have lived my life prepared to die rather than quit. However, with age and comfort come the doubts. Am I still the man I was when my life counted towards an immediate greater purpose?
I have done harder shit than the Baja 1000. Zero doubt. But that was as a young man holding lives in the balance, and the stakes made it easier in a way I can't describe.
This was next level because it was all about me. I could stop at any time. No shame to anyone but myself. You learn a lot about yourself in those moments of doubt, cold and fatigued and in pain, where you could easily choose the easier path to comfort but instead hold out for your goal, even as every nerve cries out in protest. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to test my resolve against an almost insurmountable challenge.
I hope all of you consider putting something just as outrageous on your bucket list. Then pull that sucker off the shelf before "someday"...and fucking smash it.
Bring back rites of passage!
